Great lookin EV. I put my preorder in and got a confirmation from Volvo and my local dealership sales consultant contacted me first thing this morning. Fast forward! - can't wait for 2024 ;0)

Congrats on placing your pre-order @vikram.dias41 and welcome to the forum! That's really impressive they confirmed it with you so quickly. Will this be your first EV or have you owned others?

Awesome - Thanks so much! I currently drive the Volvo C40 Ultimate Recharge since January 2022 and absolutely love it. Learnt the roles of being an EV owner and continue to drive and learn. I drove a 2004 XC90 2.5T FWD for 18 years and never got into an accident! Rock-solid SUV that I sold this year for the C40. I drive a 2011 Nissan Quest (Minivan) SL that I have absolutely loved for the space and versatility. The next EV will be a replacement (hoping my boss fully approves when the time comes) :)

I have an amazing local Volvo dealer in town since I moved 11 years ago that took care of us/my XC90, so undisputed hospitality and service experience across the entire spectrum. This is really why I may never invest in a Polestar 3, until and unless things change with them and the cube concept, they have set-up. My local Volvo dealer isn't allowed to handle or service Polestar cars at the moment, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. ;)

The C40 Recharge and EX90 will look great in your driveway if you keep both! What kind of a charging setup do you have at home?

I have been waiting for this model. We have owned two previous XC90 but they were the 6 cylinder models that were just under powered - but otherwise great cars around town and very comfortable road cars. I placed my order on the 10th, got confirmation and the local sales consultant was on me. I asked them only to email and not call and they agreed. Look forward to hearing form them early next fall. It is a long wait but I think it will be worth it. Good luck to all.

Did you consider any other EVs before going ahead with ordering the EX90?

How has the EV6 been like to own? I've heard a lot of good things about it but I haven't had a chance to drive one.
Its a great car. We own the GT Line AWD which is extremely fast when you need it. I did not realize how quiet an EV could be - you barely hear any noise other than the tires on the road. Really comfortable, plenty of room for a car of its size and fun to drive. Charging at home is a breeze and have charged up with the fast charger of Electrify America at the local Walmart - went from 25 to 90% in 18 minutes. We had an initial issue with two defective tires causing vibration above 65 mph but once they were replaced by the local dealership under warranty - no real issues since. They are hard to get and difficult to test drive as very few dealers have them in stock. I bought it without a test drive from a dealer in another state. Glad I did.
